I have read Cancer Ward by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, and I quote from it on one of my Substack posts. Have you read Grey is the Color of Hope by Irina Ratushinskaya? I'll check out some of the other reads you mention on this post and consider them for my TBR. I think it's so important to read these works.

Hi, Melisa! I haven't read Grey is the Color of Hope yet, but I will look for a copy, as it sounds very interesting from its synopsis online. I am glad you are interested in my recommendations! It is certainly important to read about these recent events in history, especially with how many living people it still affects. Most people born after its fall seem to disregard the USSR as part of the distant past when it only ceased to exist three decades ago. Thank you for commenting! :-)
